I am working on 10-20 new pieces of music in 3 genres: ambient, progressive and more melodic pop material. Marcel DuChamp used to work in different 'departments' and that's how I work. I keep a music sketchbook with hundreds of snippets consisting of bass lines, titles and concepts, which I gradually develop and re-shape, and eventually serialize into an album of some kind. Many of the finished pieces are actually alt-mixes from something else, and can be drastically different from the primary mixes.
This is on the fire. I'm experimenting with melodic material, and incorporating more cathedral-like spaces...
